Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park

Mongolia’s Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park is located in the south of the country. The park opened in 1993 and was enlarged in 2000 to its current size. The park is Mongolia’s largest national park, covering about 27,000 square kilometers.
The Gurvansaikhan Mountains, which translates to “Three Beauties,” inspired the park’s name. Three ridges are the source of the name.

The park is located on the Gobi Desert’s northern edge. The national park is located in the United States.

It is home to dinosaur fossils, sand dunes, rock formations, and a valley that is covered in ice for the most of the year. The Mongolian desert finch, cinereous vulture, desert warbler, and houbara bustard are among the park’s approximately 200 bird species. More migrating birds arrive in the spring. Plant species such as argali wild sheep, ibex, snow leopard, black-tailed gazelles, Mongolian wild ass, and wild camel are crucial for the park’s fragile, endangered, and critically endangered animals. The park’s main feature is Khongoryn Els, or the Singing Sands. Yolyn Am, a mountain valley with a vast ice field for most of the year, and Bayanzag-Flaming Cliffs, a rich dinosaur fossil and egg finding site, are popular tourist destinations.
